Modest Era — The Aesthetic!

The hot girls are graduating to sophisticated ladies! Why is the clean girl aesthetic a goal?

At some point that frontal lobe develops and then everything changes. From your style in fashion to how you behave. I’m happy to say, I’m enjoying watching women not only find their comfort in modesty but also surrendering to Christ. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.

As a wife and mom presenting myself a certain way is key. For one, I just can’t deal with men lusting after me anymore. It’s not a comfortable position to be in especially when I have a man of God who I have to represent well. Secondly, my daughters look up to me. I’m responsible for raising bright and respectful young ladies in Christ. I just can’t be out here looking anytime of way because I’m young and lit.

Modesty goes beyond your outfit, it’s the way you carry yourself all around. The way you speak, the way you address conflict, the way you treat people from day to day. It’s all a reflection of Christ and the woman God created us to be. Nothing makes me more sad than watching a beautiful lady get carried away with cursing, using raunchy language or worse referring to themselves as Bs. Coming from someone who did all of the above before Christ, a cuss word now tastes so nasty to me. There have been times I slip up and a cuss slip out (I’m not perfect but I’m trying to be better.) and I spend the remainder of the day apologizing to God. It just feels right anymore.

Modesty is a lifestyle not a trend. Once you start the journey of becoming more modest it is a part of you forever. Especially when you’re on a walk with God, the secular lifestyle will come with so much conviction. It won’t even feel right to even listen to certain music, watch certain shows or even gossip. 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!". This scripture verse is exactly what it means to go from worldly to modest. Being NEW, a new identity. A clean girl vibe.

God is calling all His daughters to become His brides. To honor Him with our bodies, clothes, speech, behavior and to embrace modesty.
