I Called Fall

Hey Darlings, welcome back to another Darling Digest. I must say these have been my favorite articles on the blog lately. Anyhoo, it’s literally Fall in NYC and I just want to thank my good God in heaven for answered prayers. Let’s get into this week’s recap & yap.

 Matcha Flavors

I remember discovering Matcha on my own some years back. I was so excited to have found my new preferred beverage and was even more excited because it WAS an acquired taste. I felt so cool and exclusive walking into Nike with my Iced Venti Matcha Latte knowing everyone else thought it tasted like grass. Fast forward to present time when matcha is said to be going extinct because now out of the blues the entire world loves matcha. I blame TikTok, honestly.

Anyways since the cooler seasons are approaching that means new matcha flavors are starting to make their debut on coffee shop menus. Blank street happens to have one of my favorite seasonal matcha flavor and I’m just itching for it. Their banana bread matcha is one of a kind. Top of the list for me. It kinda reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch which happens to be my favorite cereal ever. I usually really enjoy their banana bread as well though I think it’s way over priced. Small luxuries of life I guess.

Today I ordered Starbucks. I had to take some pumps of my inhaler which usually makes me shaky so cooking was out of the plans for the morning. I got myself a grande ice matcha latte, oat milk and salt caramel cold foam. This combo is my new go to for the everyday matcha! Definitely a break from the sweetness of their sweet cold foam, this one is richer and warmer in a sense.

GreenLeaf

So Jon and I came across Greenleaf on Netflix and we have been binging together. Honestly, we weren’t shocked by the events taking place in the show because as we know, no church is perfect and NO ONE is. We try everyday to be more like Christ but we have a sinful nature that we have to continuously repent for. The show however is super entertaining.

Our favorite character hands down is James. We have a running joke that’s he is our bishop. My favorite sibling is Grace. She reminds me of the prodigal son. She left home and came back and is trying daily to do what’s right even though it may not seem like it. There were moments of the show we saw that she still believed in Christ and she remembers His morals and teachings. Our least favorites are no other than Zora and Charity. If I could hop in the tv and just talk to them real quick because my gosh!! They give me a major headache! If you’re reading this you may want to hurry and watch it. Netflix is removing it on September 9th.

New Purse Fragrance & New Lippie Alert!

I went to Marshall’s yesterday looking to scratch an itch. I found my new bag fragrance from my favorite brand Le Monde Gourmand. This time I bought their Pumpkin Èpicèe scent. I usually keep their small bottles in my purses because they fit so well. I really do enjoy all their scent. The Pumpkin Èpicèe scent is perfect for the Fall time and I can’t wait to really wear it. I’m almost out of my CITRON MERINGUE 003 from the brand so I had to re-up immediately!

I fell for the Rhode propaganda and bought myself the Tinted Lip Peptide in PBJ Lippie and I am OBSESSED! I can’t believe how good this thing really is. Definitely worth the hype and Mrs. Bieber is a genius! I kinda put my Merit and Colour Pop to the side for my PBJ but that’s changing today. (I think.) I’m already looking online for another Lip Peptide.

Thrifted Furniture?

So we got some new dressers. They’re so vintage and old school and I LOVE THEM! Thanks to Jon’s dad for making this happen for us. I’m currently stalking Pinterest for some inspiration of how to style the tops of both. They’re His & Hers and I am so happy about them. I’ll show you a few pictures of what I think I’d like to see.

My Glasses

My ZeeLool prescription glasses are finally here and I am in love with these frames. I haven’t got a good picture of myself in them yet but soon. They’re so chic and fall appropriate. I am so excited to wear my glasses and know that they fit all my outfits!

Back To School

Milani is official in her first grade year. I’m so proud of my baby. She doesn’t even look back when she’s walking into school. They don’t allow us to walk them to class so I have to stand on the outside and look in until she blends in with all the big kids. I love her teachers so far, they give me cool mom but strict mom vibes. Love that! I guess in Charter schools going back to school shopping for stationaries isn’t a thing because they didn’t ask for anything except to make sure their uniforms are complete before entering the building and a water bottle. It kinda sucks because she’s missing out on what matching her folders and notebooks is like. Picking out the cutest items for school to flex with. She was super excited for her laptop though so I guess it’s a win regardless.

It’s Cold Out

It is about 67° in NYC. YES! That’s it, that’s all. Thank God. Amen!

Well, this is it for today’s Darling Digest. I love you so much! Thanks for reading! Oh by the way , pick up that Bible!!!!

With love, Dani.
